NIGERIAN CHRISTIANITY/AFRICAN CHRISTIANITY AND WICCAPHOBIA

The issue of the supernatural in the Ancient African community is non -disputable .However as Africa gets more modernized the Christian community is getting divided on the issue of Witchcraft , Demonology and other Christian works concerning the supernatural. Is Africa headed to self destruction with this type of Christianity ? I believe so.

First of all one must be aware that Western Christianity is based on Western Culture which shunned its pagan past and witch hunt past , showing you that the West also has witchcraft .For in the 16 and 17 centuries, Western  Christians were busy burning witches or alleged witches at the stake.

However, the Western Missionaries did not bring that brand of Christianity .They brought a reserved from of Christianity that was not concerned with Demonology and teh Supernatural.This is because they encountered afrcain Supernatural beliefs and Demonology.

This evidenced by the British Colonial Law known as the  Witchcraft Act that is still in existence in most British colonies- even Israel.

They rarely had Miracle Healing crusades , healing was through Western medicine.

The supernatural returned to Western Christianity through Azusa street .But this time it was not Britain that exported it( for Britain was the  home of  Protestant Christian denominations) -it was America.

The new brand of Christianity exported by America was more African than Western as it believed in the supernatural as African pagan religions do .Speaking in tongues was similar to the scat singing of jazz musicians where jazz as its origins in Africa.

Thus the American Evangelical denominations which landed in Africa in the 60s onwards brought a Christianity that was virbrant , vibrancy being a common feature in Africa , thus giving an alternative to the British /Western Christianity that was more reserved .

Thus we find the Americanization of European Denominations in Africa through the Evangelical and Charismatic movement.

It is important to note that these denominations are thin on theology or dogma which is not the case in European Christianity that is very booky when it comes to Christianity.

American Evangelical Christianity just depends on Liberal interpretation of the scriptures .Private Interpretation is King, contrary to what the scripture says.

This is why the Evangelical Church in Africa is too fragmented to be joined up together , they only unite by using the name Jesusesus and even that is an issue these days.

So in Africa we have churches that preach polygamy and they have scripture to support it , preach drinking beer and there is a verse to support it, preach removing of shoes when praying in the church building and they have scripture to support it.

Since the Bible has over 50,000 verses there can be 50,000 denominations in one country.

Now, Nigerian Christianity is by far the most popular alternative to Christianity in Africa .

This is because it has mixed African belief system with Christianity , which we would want to say is unscriptural.False doctrines are leaking out of this Christianity just like Western Christianity.

1. PRE-OCCUPATION AND FEAR OF WITCHCRAFT

Witch craft is there . But just because it is there does not mean my life should be influenced by it .Witch craft is there but it is not God who is omnipresent.

Yet Nigerian Christianity that is being exported to Africa under the wings of Nigerian Imperialism of Africa through Nollywood, has created a great wiccaphobia.Witchcraft is seen as more influential than God -talk of reversed roles.

This has made many Christians in Africa become very insecure and cannot trust anyone not even themselves.Everyone is presumed a witch.

To make matters worse, all problems are being blamed on the devil and generational curses etc.

Nigerian Christianity is just headed  the Galatians way in the time of Paul  who saw salvation was no longer based on Jesus Christ but one’s works.

 

This is because the brand of Christianity being offered as an alternative to Western Christianity in Africa offers daily prayers , fervent fasting to big cash offerings are seen as the solution to destroing the effect of wicthcraft in your life.Christian works of praying and fasting are glorified and not Jesus.

Yet the Bible is clear that Jesus Christ has broken the curse , not fervent prayers or fasting or cash offerings !!

But because African Christians , majority, are economically  hardprssed due to the poor political economic conditions , the belief that curses and witches are the cause of  poverty is seen as gospel truth.

Even if one wants to believe that such things cause their downfall  is that why we get saved ? is that why we trust in Jesus ?  just to keep witches at bay ?

What is evident is that Christianity in Africa is not pressing on to know Jesu Christ and make him known; it is concrened with the materials  and goods of this world.

Jesus said seek ye FIRST the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added unto to you.

This new brand of Christianity SEEKS THINGS FIRST not God.

THE EFFECT OF WICCAPHOBIA – wiccaphobia, the fear of witchcraft

1.Distrust in the Family

Family members are made to believe that those who have refused to accept their brand of Christianity , must be bewitched.

This why rampant cases of Child torture in west and Central Africa have arisen. Most pastors lie that since Children are weak minded , they are used of the devil and so they must be tortured to remove the devil from your house and business.

This has led to cases of Child abuse in the name of Jesus !!

2. ABNORMAL FEAR OF WITCHES AND DEMONS LEADING TO SUSPICION LEADING TO LYNCHING

Now when the business fails and gets no profits most Christian Pastors who are teaching this brand of Christianity counter attack the enemies of their followers either with prayers and fasting.

The problem here is that business failure is seen as a spiritual issue when the issue of sin is a spiritual issue that the Lord Jesus deals with.

Jesus is not concerned with your business whether it gets profits or not .He is more concerned with your soul.

Yet people are concerned about things and not Jesus saw anyone they suspect of attacking their property and family is a witch. If they are influential persons they share with their village mates that so and so is  a witch.

Next thing you know they burn those people in their house without a fair hearing.Over 50 people have been burned in Kenya in the name of witchcraft .These are Kenyans  who watch Nollywood – which does not teach them witch craft but confirms the preexisting wiccaphobia , that is entrenched in most African communities.

So many African Christians are busy murdering witches when Jesus and disciples cast out demons and did not murder the witches in Israel and Asia.

 

CONCLUSION

There are people who uses the occult and witchcraft to get power .That is not in dispute.We have revealed a lot of that in this website.

What we are against is the fear being spread by Christinity in Africa that witches and demons are more powerful than the blood of Jesus.

Of course these pastors will tell you that we know the blood of Jesus is powerful.Yet they preoccupy their followers with the idea of curses and demons following their careers and business and marriage because fear sells .

Yet Jesus said he has overcome the world and the world includes all the world has such as witchcraft, occultism, demons , authorities , principalities.

Why should you fear the very things Jesus has overcome if you believe in Jesus ?

This is the sad tragedy of Nigerian Christianity/African Christianity that is making a meal out of the real  supernatural world.

What we have realized about Pastor Ojigbani ‘s message is that it has obliterated the Western Christian Marriage. And here is how

Now below is an extract of the advertisement from Pastor Ojigbani’s website , inviting Kenyans to attend the Marriage seminar.

If you are separated from your spouse, the secrets that will be taught at this seminar will empower you to be reconciled back to your spouse. In addition to all these, the anointing power of the Holy Spirit will be present to destroy every form of delay and disappointment and crises in marriage.

Note the difference .The former of the traditional form assures people that Marriage will have both good times and bad times.

Pastor Ojigbani’s definition of marriage is one with only good times .

Which one is more realistic ?Which one is more of a business advert or commercial ?

Pat Robertson of 700 Club...no stranger to controversy

Pat Robertson has declared that it is okay for  spouses to divorce  spouses who have Alzheimer’s disease – a disease that affects the memory of a person and affects mostly old people .

Creating a historic redefinition of divorce , Pat Robertson has just overturned the famous marriage vow “in sickness and in health “  to  “in health alone”.

He has also adds to Jesus list that calls for divorce only in the case of  fornication and Paul’s list of a Non Christian who does not want their spouse to be a Christian , if the spouse became a Christian after marriage.

HEART OF THE MATTER..EVANGELICAL REVOLUTION AND REDEFINTION OF MARRIAGE WILL DESTROY THE REAL MEANING OF MARRIAGE

Christianity is at a pivotal time , especially the Evangelical Church .There is a revolution of theology taking root and it is mostly affecting Marriage.

First of all the traditional view of marriage ,at least considers that marriage will have ups and downs.But Prosperity Gospel that has poisoned the Evangelical church has lied that marriages must be heavenly without ups and downs .

In fact some go to some great extents claiming that marriages with ups and downs are cursed .If your spouse gets a sickness she is demon possessed and must be divorced before spreading the demons to your children.

Marriage is not  happiness or riches or poverty , it is about commitment to one another as you both share in the journey of life that is filled with some days of  happiness , sadness riches and poverty .It is getting a partner to walk with you in the journey of life and create life through giving birth.

Marriage is not about perfect angels marrying each other.In fact Jesus said angels do not marry , yet the Christianity Pat Roberrtson and Pastor Ojigbani and host of others think we can marry angels- Angelization of spouses

Yes, their teachings make Christians think that that because they are Christians they must have perfect spouses, and perfect marriages because God is perfect and Jesus is perfect therefore Christians are perfect.

This raises the bar and standards of marriage to incredible highs unattainable in the real world.You may have a high flying job today then it disappears tomorrow .Must your marriage end because of that ?

Your wife may have a beautiful face but one day gets involved in accident that damages her for life .Must the marriage end ?

In USA, Divorce is higher among Christian couples than Non Christian because of  Angelic Standards that cover up the truth that Christians are human.

I think Marriage is going back to the Old Testament times where Polygamy was legal if the wife was barren .Though, some Old Testament characters married more than one wife.

If you read the genealogies in the Old Testament they do not mention the wives of the men , only the fathers and sons or children because the list would be filled with second and third wives.

This is because a man could have wife , a concubine and may have slept with a prostitute but his children were his children irrespective of where they came from and whether they were bastards or orphaned.

This shows that marriage in the Old Testament was basically about Children or Reproduction.Thus if you measure Pat Robertson’s comments to that point of view of marriage he would have said polygamy rather than divorce as an option.

Yet since the Bible is more patriarchal than matriarchal what happens if the man has Alzheimer’s  , does the woman marry another man-polyandry? Not in the Bible prostitution is the only type of  polyandry relationship in the Bible..

Now the same Heavenization of Marriage has also spread dangerously to courtship and dating(which should be called  engagement; in the sense that the so called Heavenization of  terms such as Christian dating and Christian Courtship aims at making sure you get the right mate.

How can you make sure your phone is working if you have never put it on? You can only know how good your spouse is when you marry .

Thus since courtship and dating is not marriage it is wrong to judge someone based upon how they behaved during dating .Just visit their family members and you will know whether you want to marry them, because the family and friends are the best mirrors.

What the whole fiasco shows is that Christians live in deep mistrust because they have been trained to believe that Marriage must be perfect and your spouse must be angel.

Such false hopes open chances for divorce and that is why the divorce rat in America is higher among Christians than non believers.

Marriage is a commitment for life and in life.Life is made up of ups and downs .Forget the definition of Life by Prosperity Gospel preachers like Robertson and Ojigbani , who think that roses do not have thorns.

IS IT UNCHRISTIAN TO CRITICIZE ? GABE LYONS SAYS CHRISTIANS DO NOT CRITICIZE

What did the prophets of old, John the Baptist Jesus Do ?  Criticize ? Yes Jesus criticized and followers of Jesus criticize based on God’s word. Not according to Gabe Lyons. He believes that Christians should be Creative instead of being Critical. To make matters worse , he is saying that Real Christians are creative and do not complain.What is he saying ?

First of all we need to know what the word Criticize means .It basically means to make judgment about something or someone or an event.It comes from the Greek word Kritikos which means to be able to make judgments , and from the word krinein, to separate , to decide.

Now this is always an excuse for Christians to use the famous “Judge Not ” without understanding what Jesus said about judgment.He said if you want to judge , judge yourself in that area you want to judge first then  judge others on the same .But know that the measure of judgment you will use will be measured back to you.

Matt7:3 -5And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but  considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?   Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?   Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye

Now since we are to follow the example of Jesus Christ , we should ask ourselves why did he criticize the Pharisees for hypocrisy, his Disciples of unbelief and the cities and Jews that rejected him for ignoring his message?

Paul also criticized over those who were calling believers to be circumcised to get salvation .And he also castigated the Corinthians for not judging themselves and running to secular courts when they had wisdom from God to judge.

So the whole point is that we should JUDGE OURSELVES FIRST THEN JUDGE OTHERS . See the bad in us first.

The problem is we do not like looking at our inner man in the inner mirror called the Word of God.That is why there are so many versions of the Bible to hide our real state inside  but that is not what we want to see.Yet Jesus said he only came for the sick .How can he come to you when you say you are not sick?

So let us  see what Gabe had to say-his comments are in blue and the full article can be found here.First of all, he should be commended for encouraging parents with Downs syndrome  children to accept their children just as they are .That is what Jesus would do.

However it was not a good example to use to antagonize Christians that criticize . Downs Syndrome is not injustice caused by Man. Raping Children is, so is War , so is Oppressing the Poor -these are acts that can be controlled by Man .

“Instead of being critics, when we find things wrong in our world … we’re called to stand up for what is right, what is just, what is good, what is true, what is beautiful,” he said.

How can you stand for what is right when you do not know  and find out what is wrong? By him saying that such findings are unChristian , then he is saying standing for what is right based on finding out what is wrong , is wrong.

Stand up for right and stand against wrong We get to know what is right and wrong in God’s word.

“But instead of condemning the world for that, critiquing people who haven’t necessarily signed up to follow Jesus the way we have, I find in The Next Christians are the real Christians that they have the ability to create in the midst of that; to create ways that people can work towards fighting that injustice

He is now trying to draw the line on what not to critic :the UNSAVED World e.g  UN , CFR, Bilderbergs, NWO, Jesuits , Islam,  .

Is it wrong to say the world is wrong ? Well Gabe says so.Then what  Christianity is he teaching ? Tolerant Christianity that has no true Gospel of Jesus Christ.He needs to reread the book of Acts and see why the disciples like Stephen were matryed .He criticized his fellow Jews for not believing in Jesus and they killed him .Yet Jesus received this “critic with open arms?

Then to show you a Nazi Line , he says the “Next Christians” , meaning the Christians who criticize will be no more.Where will they go, I wonder ?

But that’s an example of creating instead of criticizing, right? It was just using my gifts in storytelling and photographers, that’s what we’re talking about. Christians showing up everywhere we see corruption overflowing in our world and not just talking about how bad this world is, but saying let’s be a part of displaying for people what the Kingdom of God might look like when it shows up

He is already doing what he promised not do:CRITICIZE . Prejudging Christians who criticize ,saying that they do not display the kingdom of God for people to see what it looks like .

Many Christians who criticize based on God’s word really do their best in displaying the kingdom of God but they do not do it to please others, to get 5o3 c Tax exempt status .They will never be seen in the Limelight and even if they were , like Jesus, they will be rejected by some accepted by others.So it is not 100% acceptance yet that is what Gabe is looking for.

Jesus said that your good works should be done before men but be done unto God.Christians do not need to shout about the good they do-they do it by God’s grace and that is why they can  criticize those who are not in line with God’s word whether of this world or of the church .Not out of Holier than thou attitude but because they know the truth ,Jesus Christ and the will of God found in his word.They know it is by his grace and not by might that we walk in God’s will.

This writing from Gabe Lyons is another escapism from reality that the world is in injustice and sin because these are the Last Days .Secondly by turning a blind eye and wearing a gag on his mouth , he is aiding the Unjust to commit injustice.

Jesus did not keep quiet when he saw injustice .

I have a message for Gabe …before the Kingdom of God comes , it is the Kingdom of Satan that will rule the earth for a short time  and it is no where near justice … The Bible has told us what time it is , just walk in God’s word in this time of injustice because Jesus said Inquity will abound  before he comes whether you like it or not.

APOSTOLIC SUCCESSION …. WHERE MOST OF THE CHURCH DIED IN TERMS OF LEADERSHIP

 By  Creating New Apostles Are We to Reform the Apostolic or Return to the Apostolic found in the Scriptures by abiding by the Doctrine of Christ?  Why the New Apostolic Reformation and The Old Mainline Churches(Catholic , Anglican and Orthodox) Apostolic Succession are ships without sails

Jesus said that he will build his church upon the rock and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. However he also said that the church is like a mustard seed small at the beginning but large at the end. Yet the number one reason of death in the church is  rejecting the Early Apostolic Church foundation.

Who is an Apostle ?  This is a person who has been with Jesus physically .The followers that accompanied Jesus and were chosen by him.This  is given in 1 Corinthians 15

This is why Paul called himself the lowest of Apostles be cause he only had a vision of Jesus but did not walk with him physically.Yet the fact that Jesus revealed himself to him and the signs and wonders that followed him validated his Apostleship

The first Apostles taught the doctrine of Christ which was basically everything that Jesus taught , the word of God . Jesus commissioned them to make disciples all over the earth beginning in Jerusalem , which they did by God ‘s grace.

However there were cracks that emerged less than ten years after Jesus had ascended to heaven.

The cracks arose when some Believing Pharisees demanded that believers were saved through circumcision and keeping the law .One could wonder how could such an issue divide  the first disciples who had walked with Jesus and did not see Jesus tell them to circumcise believers .Jesus commissioned them to preach and baptize .the believing Pharisees thought otherwise.

So they was a meeting of the Apostles and Elders which gives a clear picture of the Church Administration .This two some executive wing of the church made decrees for the church like Parliament makes laws. The only difference was that the the church made decrees based on God’s word and not new laws that contravened God’s word.

When they reached a decision not to demand Gentile believers to be circumcised , the decision was called a decree with other decrees against idolatry and blood filled food and fornication.

So that is how the church solved issues of doctrine –with the Apostles and Elders .They taught the Doctrine of Christ.They had the keys to bind and to lose meaning to call one thing illegal or contrary to God’s word and another legal or in line with God’s word.

Notice how the Catholic Church has the emblem of the Keys for the Pope signifying the keys of the Kingdom of God.That is why the call the Pope the Successor of Peter yet that is not sound doctrine.

POST APOSTLIC CHURCH

However the apostles were flesh and blood and most died off before the church was 100 years old.

This is where things got thick .Disciples who served under the Apostles , instead of continuing in the doctrine of the Apostles,  started changing the doctrine yet claim connection to the apostles .Things like worshiping of saints , gowns for bishops and many unscriptural things cropped up in the name of “I was with Peter or John baptized me so whatever I say is right and from God”

Thus the church became a Babel Babylon in a jiffy .So bad were the divisions it took a Pagan King called Constantine to bring in some order which led the church deeper into the abyss of confusion.

CATHOLIC CHURCH  DECEITFUL RETURN TO THE APOSTOLIC FOUNDATION

The church of Constantine rightly knew that there was need for a united front on doctrine and that had to be based on what the Apostles taught .Thus they sat down and got different Faith snippets from the Old and New testament scriptures to summarize what the early church believed in as a whole.

The Apostles Creed was born but it must be stated loudly that that WAS NOT the Apostles’ Creed because they did not write it even if their words were used .The Church of Constantine plagiarized the scriptures with their new ideas and called  the creed it by a name that would not be refuted by any believer.

Nonetheless ,this created order in the Catholic Church which then created the doctrine of the Pope through this Apostles Creed stating that since the church has  become  apostolic it must have apostles and Apostles must have a Chief Apostle or Rock. So who was the leader of the Apostles ?

According to  to them, Jesus said it was Peter .Therefore the Catholic church traced from Peter to their time all those bishops who had a link to Peter through discipleship .Once they established that chain they claimed that the Pope would be installed from that line of succession and that when the leaders lay their hands on him it is as if Peter and the Apostles are laying their hands on him.

This was the birth of the Doctrine of Apostolic Succession. Transfer of the Holy Spirit by laying on of hands .And since the 12 Apostles were infallible the Pope is infallible because he sits in the seat of Peter the Chief Apostle.

AFTERMATH

Thus the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church and later the Anglican church took the doctrine that their churches and their bishops are based on the early church apostles and that when they are consecrated it is as if the Early church is consecrating them.

This teaching brought such order in these  churches  that till today when scandals or heresies arise they deal with them so skillfully without a crack appearing in the ranks .The Church is bigger than the individual in these instances.

This system though is thoroughly unscriptural because the doctrines of these churches have NEVER been taught by the early Apostles .You cannot inherit what is not passed down to you.

The Early Church Apostles did not pass down rosaries or archbishops or Knights , how can you claim you are succeeding them when you are passing down things they did not pass down-that is your own possession which you are passing down and not the early church’s.

THE EVANGELICAL CHURCH SEARCH FOR APOSTOLIC SUCCESSION

Today’s evangelical church has found the answer lies in Apostolic Foundations for its divisions. This is why it is the most divided faction in Christianity because everyone is saying different things and they all claim they are filled with the Holy Spirit.

TD Jakes walks with Benny Hinn and Benny Hinn walks with John Hagee yet all have glaring  different theological viewpoints but claim they have one Holy Spirit !

Just turn on TBN and see the Babylon Christianity has turned itself into a religion that does not what God has said or a religion of many opinions not the truth.

So Rick Joyner  and  C Wagner come in to create the New Apostolic Reformation .Did Jesus say we need New Apostles ?He already appointed the Apostles who set up the foundation of the church as stated in the book of Ephesians and Peter.

Yes the Evangelical Church should go back to the Apostolic but not of our making but that of the Early Church found in the scriptures.

So the crux of the matter is most of Christianity today is in the sick state it is in because it is delinked from the Early Church Foundation planted by Jesus and his Apostles .However they are few who have endured in the faith of old and they are  the Church which Jesus said the gates of heel cannot prevail.

First of all ONLY GOD MAKES PEOPLE SAINTS. What is going to happen in Rome this Sunday is abominable .No man can make another man saint, but this is what Pope Benedict is going to do this May 2011.

Secondly the dead are not to be remembered according to true Christian tradition .Christians know that the those who die in Christ are asleep not in the sense that they can physically awake at any time but that they will resurrect at the coming of Jesus Christ.

What is profoundly shocking about this beatification is that THEY HAVE  EXHUMED THE BODY OF POPE JOHN PAUL II .

What is a “Christian Church” doing blessing  a dead  body , not even embalming it , blessing a corpse ??!!!

Well they say that they are honoring him for performing a miracle as most saints are only made saints after tangible  proof of some supernatural act.

Yet it is occultic for Christians to remember the dead and say prayers for and to the dead .We are  not to have spiritual  contact with dead people, yet this is what the Catholic church will do worldwide with their Sunday Protestants.

This is why we worship and call on Jesus because he is alive. Christianity would be the most illogical religion if it were calling upon a  dead man  .That is why it is the true faith because we call on the Living God and Lord who died and rose again. Other religions worship dead men which is illogical because a dead person has no senses ; can’t hear or talk or give you anything.

MEMORIAL SERVICES …. A SOFT WAY OF CONTACTING THE DEAD

God clearly warned that there should be no communication with the dead .Not that it is not impossible. It is possible.

King Saul talked with dead Samuel through the help of a medium who saw the spirits of the dead ascend from the earth.

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) – Pope John Paul’s coffin was exhumed on Friday ahead of his beatification as tens of thousands of people began arriving in Rome for one of the biggest events since his funeral in 2005.

The Vatican said the coffin was removed from the crypts below St Peter’s Basilica while top Vatican officials and some of the late pope’s closest aides looked on and prayed.

Those present at the ceremony included Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz, his personal secretary and right-hand man for decades, and the Polish nuns who ran the papal household for 27 years.

The wooden coffin will be placed in front of the main altar of St Peter’s Basilica. After Sunday’s beatification mass, it will remain in that spot and the basilica will remain open until all visitors who want to view it have done so.

It will then be moved to a new crypt under an altar in a side chapel near Michelangelo’s statue of the Pieta. The marble slab that covered his first burial place will be sent to Poland.

The pope is being beatified on the day the Church celebrates the movable Feast of Divine Mercy, which this year happens to fall on May 1, the most important feast in the communist world.

The coincidence is ironic, given that many believe the pope played a key role in the fall of communism in Eastern Europe.

As the Vatican prepares to move the late pontiff one step closer to sainthood this Sunday, Rome has been caught up with beatification fever.

The city is festooned with posters of the pope on buses and hanging from lamp posts as the city where he was bishop for 27 years awaits one of the largest crowds since his funeral in 2005, when millions came to pay tribute.

Large television towers are being erected along Via Della Conciliazione, the boulevard leading from the Tiber to the Vatican.

At least several hundred thousand people are expected at the mass in St Peter’s Square on Sunday when John Paul’s successor Pope Benedict XVI will pronounce a Latin formula declaring one of the most popular popes in history a “blessed” of the Church.

“MIRACLE CURE”

At least 16 heads of state and 87 official delegations from around the world will attend the beatification, the last step before sainthood in the Roman Catholic.

The Vatican has deemed that the otherwise inexplicable cure of a French nun, Marie Simon-Pierre Normand, who was suffering from Parkinson’s disease, was due to John Paul’s intercession with God to perform a miracle, thus permitting the beatification to go ahead.

Another miracle will have to be attributed to John Paul’s intercession after the beatification in order for him to be declared a saint.

Beatification-related activities begin on Saturday night in Rome’s Circus Maximus, the sprawling oval used by the ancient Romans for chariot races.

An all-night prayer vigil will be held in the oval, during which Normand, Dziwisz and Joaquin Navarro-Valls, the pope’s long-time spokesman, will describe their experiences with him.

John Paul’s beatification has set a new speed record for modern times, taking place six years and one month after his death on April 2, 2005.

While the overwhelming number of Catholics welcome it, a minority are opposed, with some saying it happened too fast.

Liberals in the church say John Paul was too harsh with theological dissenters who wanted to help the poor, particularly in Latin America. Some say John Paul should be held ultimately responsible for the sexual abuse scandals because they occurred or came to light when he was in charge.

Ultra-Conservatives say he was too open toward other religions and that he allowed the liturgy to be “infected” by local cultures, such as African dancing, on his trips abroad.

So Jesus was at Lazarus’s home six days before Passover.

Jesus entered Jerusalem triumphantly 5 days before Passover.

Now most of you know that Passover has always been from Tuesday Evening Nisan 13 , hence Wednesday Nisan 14.

Those who think that nobody knows the days of the week have very valid reason to take the world to court when they sack them for not working on a Wednesday because they know that the days have been changed and Wednesday is actaully supposed to be Thursday ..ha !

As long as the moon and sun have still kept their course and history has proved that they have the days are just the same as they were two thousand years ago and 4000 years ago.

So Jesus entered Jerusalem 5 DAYS BEFORE WEDNESDAY 14,PASSOVER . what day is 5 DAYS BEFORE WEDNESDAY 14 ?

FRIDAY NISAN 9 .So Jesus was at Lazarus house on Thursday and then proceeded to Jerusalem with triumph on a donkey on Friday NOT SUNDAY !!!

Survey: More Churches Rebound from Economic Recession

Churches have begun to rebound financially with more seeing increases in giving, a new survey found.

Forty-three percent of churches saw giving go up in 2010. In the previous year, only 36 percent reported increases in giving.

Nearly half (46.5 percent) of churches were also able to increase their budget this year.

The statistics were laid out in the third annual State of the Plate report, a research project led by Maximum Generosity ministry, Christianity Today International and the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.

Released Wednesday, results from the survey of 1,507 churches revealed that many churches were still struggling financially. Thirty-nine percent saw a decline in giving in 2010, similar to the previous year.

Churches in the Pacific Coast states and Southeast states were hardest hit this past year.

“I want more Christian news!”

Adding to their woes, however, is President Barack Obama‘s FY 2012 budget proposal, which includes reducing the value of charitable tax deductions for Americans making $250,000 or more.

Ninety-one percent of survey respondents felt church giving would be negatively affected by the federal government’s plans.

“Charities and churches have been hit hard by the economy the past 3 years. If the government’s plan to change the rules on charitable tax deductions goes through, giving to charities and churches and the help they give to others will likely be negatively impacted at a time it is needed the most,” said Brian Kluth, founder of Maximum Generosity and the State of the Plate research, in a statement.

Nearly a third (31 percent) said changing the rules regarding charitable deductions would have a significant impact on future giving at their churches. Only around 9 percent felt it would have no impact.

Churches have been responding to economic challenges mainly by cutting back on staff travel and conferences expenses, and decreasing spending on ministry programs and expansion or renovation projects.

But with more churches faring better, many have responded with staff pay raises, and allocating more money to missions as well as facilities/maintenance/utilities.

According to the survey, churches more likely to have sailed through the economic storm more smoothly were larger churches.

Only 29 percent of megachurches (2,000+ attendance) experienced a decline in giving, compared to 40 percent of churches with an attendance of less than 100.

In other findings, most churches have been actively working on issues related to financial integrity and accountability. Ninety-four percent make their financial statements available upon request to their members and 90 percent provide copies of their annual budget to their congregation or make them available upon request.

Additionally, 84 percent of survey respondents reported that their church leadership board is made up of five or more people, with at least three of the people not being paid staff or a family member of paid staff.

The annual State of the Plate survey was not conducted as a random sampling study, but rather as a constituency survey. Respondents consisted of mainline (13 percent), evangelical (24 percent), Baptist (23 percent), Charismatic/Pentecostal (12 percent), independent/nondenominational (21 percent), Catholic/Orthodox (2 percent), and other (5 percent).

At more than $14 trillion, America’s debt might seem abstract, a number so large it’s difficult to conceptualize. But if left unchecked, that swiftly swelling figure has the potential to affect our daily lives in a big way, primarily in the forms of higher interest rates and ultimately, a slower economy.

And the numbers are only getting scarier. That $14 trillion tab is growing at a staggering pace of more than $58,000 per second. “It’s truly huge–we’re talking 9, 10 percent of GDP,” says Richard DeKaser, deputy chief economist at The Parthenon Group, a Boston, Mass.-based financial services firm. “We haven’t seen anything like that in most people’s lifetime. For most people, this is unprecedented.”
When will the government’s habit of maxing out its credit cards finally hit home? Here a few ways you might feel the pinch of Uncle Sam’s borrowing binge:

Higher interest rates. Low interest rates over the past few years have worked to the federal government’s advantage, but experts say the luxury of smaller interest payments won’t last forever. America relies on foreign investment to fund more than 50 percent of its debt, and while most experts agree that those investors will continue to buy U.S. Treasury bonds, they are unlikely do so on such generous terms.

“At some point, it may be much harder to finance our debt,” says Lynn Reaser, chief economist at Point Loma Nazarene University’s Fermanian Business & Economic Institute. “As a result, we would see an economic or market solution and that would mean either higher interest rates or a lower value of the dollar, or a combination of both. The potential for future growth could be less, and you could see a slower growth in the standard of living or even a decline.”

Consumers will also be affected. Interest rates on U.S. Treasury bonds serve as the benchmark for many consumer loan products, including mortgages, car loans, credit cards, and student loans. As interest rates inch up to attract treasury bond investors, so will rates for consumers.

And just in case you’re thinking the Fed can step in and hold rates down indefinitely, Georgetown finance professor Reena Aggarwal says that’s not the case. “At some point, the Fed can’t really control interest rates,” she says. “The market is not stupid. The market sees [that] eventually interest rates have to go up.”

Slower economic growth, weaker job markets. If interest rates ramp up, a greater portion of the government’s budget will go toward interest payments, leaving fewer dollars for other, more economically stimulating types of spending, such as building roads or providing tax incentives for small businesses.

“Higher debt in general is a drag on economic growth,” says Russ Koesterich, iShares global chief investment strategist and author of The Ten Trillion Dollar Gamble. “The government is still stimulating the economy by spending lots of money. When it gets more expensive to do that, they will have to pull back, cut benefits, [and] cut transfer payments. That will further slow the economy and the job market.”

Government spending currently accounts for a quarter of economic activity in the United States, Koesterich says, the largest footprint the government has had in decades. “Twenty cents of every dollar is coming from the government,” Koesterich says. “If the government can no longer afford to do that, that is going to have a very sharp, negative effect on the consumer.”

Higher taxes. Over the past few decades, Americans have voted themselves more benefits than they are willing to pay for, Koesterich says, and at some point, something has to give. “Generally, the economic effects are less destructive if the government deals with the deficit by cutting back on spending and entitlement programs,” he says. “You’d want to reform some of the longer-term entitlement programs,” such as Medicare and Social Security.

But many experts argue that cutting spending is only half of the solution. “At some point, the government has to think about raising more revenue, which means higher taxes,” Aggarwal says. “We are getting to the point where the economy has stabilized and if we don’t address this debt problem, it’s going to end up being a bigger problem.” Higher taxes could hit consumers as early as 2012, when Bush-era tax cuts expire and debate heats up in Washington about how to tackle the debt problem.

Higher inflation. Massive public spending by the federal government in the wake of the financial crisis has put some pressure on supply-and-demand dynamics, but has yet to spark meaningful inflation, in large part because of the continued weakness of consumer and corporate spending.

“Public demand is essentially crowding out private demand,” Koesterich says. “It’s the old definition of too much money chasing too few goods, and it breeds inflation.”

But when demand returns from the private sector, additional competition will crop up for a limited supply of goods, which in turn will cause prices to rise. Inflation is particularly harmful for consumers because it erodes purchasing power and can ultimately lead to a lower standard of living. Savers will also feel the pain if the inflation rate outpaces yields on certificates of deposit or other savings accounts.

While this might sound like a doomsday scenario, experts say the fallout from chronically high public debt is more a matter of perceived risk than a clear threat right now. “What’s sort of baked into the cake right now is the presumption that there’s some sort of bipartisan action to reign in the deficit, which is by no means assured,” says DeKaser. “I happen to be pretty optimistic that some progress will be made.”

Only time will tell whether the Obama administration and Congress can get the recipe right.

In light of all that is happening in the world , I decided to look up the different prophecies made by Prosperity and Dominionist Pastors around the world …very interesting indeed.God willing by the end of this year we will see whether what they said about 2011 comes to pass.

However the one that caught my attention is the connection between Benny Hinn and Chris Oyakhilome.They both called 2001 the year of the Sun shining .However for Pastor Chris the sun is you , while for Benny Hinn it is Jesus which means breakthrough.It seems there is a NWO spiritual connection not just implementing the NWO World Government Religion and Economics in 2011

What is the drift here ? The drift here is that there are those pastors who mentioning things just to tingle the congregation but there are some who hint the NWO Plans like Benny Hinn and Creflo Dollar.

As usual, they will keep on using Agricultural terminology to mean financial prosperity like harvest and first fruits ..I do not see bananas on those altars but I do see dollars.Jesus used parables agricultural and also those of money to explain the spiritual life not to get money from his listeners .

Secondly , it is always about losing your job car and material things forgetting that one can lose their salvation if they do not keep in the faith.

Jesus said SEEK YE FIRST ..THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS .These guys tell you the OPPOSITE OF GOD’S WORD ,SATAN’S WORD …SEEK YE FIRST..THE THINGS OF THIS WORLD

In short they will tell people anything but the truth and that is to abide in Jesus Christ in repentance and obedience to his word.

Yet none of them could see what has just happened in the first quarter of 2011, they only prophesy what they want people to hear and label them as the word of God when it is the word of the Dollar .

When these people talk about End Times they talk about it in a away the dollars keep flowing back to them.In short the teach lies.

Never do you hear them talk about the Antichrist war against the saints and Christians. Why ? The bank will run dry .

They talk lightly about the world events economy and politics because they are being paid and funded by those who bring the system down to set up their new world.Covering up reality with bible verses when the Bible has clearly foretold those events.

So there is darkness in the land and those who follow the blind will fall into the same ditch with them.

IS GOD A MALE CHAUVINIST ? NIV TRANSLATORS THINK AND SAY HE IS..Hence “Help” Him by “Updating” His Word !! “

Abominable NIV version of the Bible is in for an updated version that is ” Gender Inclusive ” this April. I just wonder how Christians can believe and sanction updating God’s word .Apart from that stupidity, the issue of Gender has been an unreasonable thorn in the flesh of these translators.

First of all what should be know is that because of the high number of women in the church the so called church leaders are finding ways to “make them feel at home with God”.They have tried Prosperity, Worship, Self Help and other Joyce Meyer Medications to keep women in church.Now for about 100 years it has been to make God’s word gender sensitive as if God is not Gender Sensitive.

Just because God is HE does not mean he is Anti females.Just because a woman is not given the office of a bishop does not mean she is a second class Christian or second class creature.

Satan is deceived the world into sin and hence bred division between the male and the female as God punished the woman by subjecting her to the rule of the man.

Yet when Jesus died on the Cross he died for both men and women.Both men and women that believe in him have eternal life.

So when it comes to Order in the church and family , the order set by God in the Garden of Eden takes center stage even after Jesus death and resurrection.

Sadly, today’s theologians s for desire to please man and that includes women , to make more money from them by adding and subtracting from God’s word …ABOMINATION.

I think the issue squares down to Doctrine. Women are not taught their true role in the Church and a family as per the scriptures neither are they taught the truth as to why we are in the gender divide we are in today.

These truths are hidden in the name of not hurting a woman’s feelings.

For example Paul the Apostle taught that reason why women should not teach in the church was because Eve was deceived by the Serpent first.For that Paul is labeled by NV translators a Male Chauvinist.

Yet if you read the Bible in ts full context in the book of Titus the older women were told to teach the women on issues concerning their well being and roles

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, Titus 2:3-4

Yet Paul was stating a fact and truth that we are all to bear .If women and also men accept this fact they will not whine about feeling inferior and men will not feel guilty as they are being made to feel for demeaning women.

The truth of the matter is that NIV and other Bible Translators are being driven by the Feminist and Matriarchal model that is up to fight the Patriarchal Model.

PATRIARCHAL V MATRIARCHAL ORDER

Patriarchal order means where the Male is the dominant figure of society while Matriarchal puts emphasis on the Woman.

Many societies in the world have different orders.Most of the world’s cultures Western culture included,are Patriarchal while the minority like some in West Africa and ASia seem to be Matriarchal but with a Patraichal foundation.

With the rise of single mothers in the world , people are beginning to think fatherless families are trendy and actually not a weakness as the Bible clearly sees the fatherless as oppressed or in need of special care.Trends change but GOd’s word changes not.

.AS we shared last time that Judaism is Patriarchal when it comes to lineage and leading the house , but Matriarchal when it comes to language and religion.

For example Solomon wives changed his religion and so did Ahab’s wife Jezebel .This was why God told the Israelites not to marry strange women who worshiped strange gods.

Yet we find exceptions such as Moses and Joseph who married Egyptian and Ethiopian , yet they did not deviate from worshiping God .

Thus the so called Translators feel that the Patriarchal Order in the Bible has led to the discrimination of women and the suffering of women, so there is a need to translate the word of God in a Matriarchal perspective to protect women from abuse.

THAT IS A LIE.WE should not blame God and his word for the oppression of women.This has come about because of iniquity and sin which Jesus said would increase in the last days.

It is because since Iniquity will abound the majority of men will oppress women until Jesus comes back.The return of Jesus is our hope at the same time the salvation of a man who once he believes , repents from abusing women.

What these translators should do is withdraw their abominable versions stick to the only true translation KJV , the authorized version and start teaching men and women about what God has said concerning their roles for God has already said something about those issues concerning gender.

Yet this was prophesied that Deception will be so steep that it may catch the Elect.One form of deception has been the Translations of the Bible whose original text from which they translate is different from that which the KJV employs.

This is classic deception at work to make sure women do not know what God has said about them and what promises he has laid for them despite the reality that the man is the head of the woman.
