Church may ban garden weddings–read

Many church leaders think it right that the” Christians Wedding ” is the only recognized marriage for all Christians. What they call Christian is not Christian when one goes to the Christian constitution, the Bible. What they are calling Christian is nothing but man’s traditions which are Western in colour.
Weddings are events of joy and people of different shades have different ways of celebrating. However marriage is marriage before God’s sight irrespective of how it was celebrated. Gen 2:24 gives the definition of marriage

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Other references of marriage in terms of attire and joyous celebration are also mentioned in the bible but not with commandments of the type of marriage or its form.

7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. Mark 7:7-9

There are many traditions of men… traditions of the Catholic church, tradition of the Anglican church, traditions of Methodist, one’s own tradition. All these traditions are just ways of rejecting God’s commandments which are not grievous.

These church leaders who are calling for: a ban to Sunday weddings, a ban to garden weddings a re guilty of enslaving Christians with their man made traditions. Is the form of the ritual an issue or the act of marriage.

What these apostate churches are not saying is that they gain “taxes” from the weddings when they are conducted in their physical buildings because it is easier for people to give money when they are in a church building than outside in a park.

So the concern is not about the sanctity of marriage but the protection of the clergy system over the laity. The clergy leadership love to be control of one’s education, one’s marriage, one’s death and birth.Yet they forget to deal with the spiritual aspect of giving the word of God and godly leadership which is their main and only job in building the church.

In the New testament scriptures we do not see any ritualistic marriages or burials . We find more emphasis on the doctrinal and practical aspects of marriage such as divorce and widowhood and the role of husbands and wives. The church was made up of diverse cultures but we do not see a cultural form of marriage being called a holy marriage.

Today, it is the reverse.Churches are concerned about rituals not because the rituals are spiritual. Many divorced couples and broken marriages did very spiritualised weddings and married at “beautiful church buildings”.The fact that they were done in the “church” did not stop the break ups.But the church system gains monetarily from the lavish ceremonies not from marriage break ups.The Western Christian marriage is now called a holy marriage.

The early church did not have baby dedications which are ritualized , neither was there elaborate prayers for the dead. The early church stood firm on what the word says about these events. Yes, they mourned when brethren died, they married and had children but they did not create strict conditions with ritualistic overtones calling them the work of God.

The claim of dedicated buildings and Anti Sunday weddings because Sunday is ” the Lord’s day ” and that the officials who officiate the wedding are ordained by God is nothing but false doctrines which are transgressions against the commandment of God because God has never commanded those man made traditions .
