What we are headed for is one big clash of religions in countries which are multi-religious. There rising tensions between Christians and Muslims after a rumor was spread that the Christians are seeking to make Malaysia a Christian State. This is JUST THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG.
The allegations were made by publications of which one belongs to the ruling party. Thus the historic burning of churches may be reignited if this thing is not settled. This is the same country where Muslims have refused to share the name Allah with Christians during the translation of Malay Bibles attributing the God of the Bible to the Muslim Allah –(why not use Jehovah you Bible translators or an equivalent of God in the Malay language ..i think this was a deliberate provocation to say the least)
One thing is for sure Evangelical Christianity and Islam are very much at loggerheads because both are passionate in their expression of religion. Both are Conversion based where Christians do the Great Commission of making disciples for Christ and Islam makes converts for their religion.Like Poles, repel.
Secondly there is an interesting trend of the bi- lateral growth of Islam and Christianity in the world.
In Islamic countries the governments are becoming more radical to counter the growth of Christianity in their countries. For example Pakistan , Malaysia, India and others where many churches and Christians have been burnt and killed or persecuted. These persecutions actually increase the number of Christian converts though the persecution is uncalled for and wrong, God will judge it.
In Western Christian Countries , the churches are begging Governments to curb Islam through Anti Terror laws because Islam is growing faster than Christianity and terrorists who always get are always Muslim . Anti-Terror Laws have not tamed Islamic terrorism…before 2001 Patriot Act, there were few international terrorist groups. After 2001 Patriot Act and Anti Terror Legislation worldwide there are over 30 international groups .
Islam’s growth is threatening Western Christian nations. For instance in Kenya some young Kenyans born in Christian families are converting to Islam than young Muslims born in Muslim families are converting to Christianity.
In America , more Muslims are immigrating to America and you know the old fact that Immigrants do not forget their religion at home , they come with it.So America is having a growing Islamic population which is demanding political recognition. The Immigration debate is laced with unavoidable Religious and Racial overtones, watch .
Thus as we always State that Religion is one with Politics in that it is influenced by Politics where if the King hates one religion that religion will suffer and if he likes the other religion that religion will gain. Thus favouring Muslims in a Christian nation is a red light to the majority and favouring Christians in a Muslim nation is also a red light to the majority .
Since all nations are under the secular yet multi-religious therefore polytheistic United Nations the issue of Relihious tolerance is enforced.
Thus in ” Moderate” Islamic countries , the governments are told by the UN to include more Christians in their affairs to bring a balance of representation.
In Western Christian nations , the governments are being told by UN to include more Muslim faces to show religious tolerance and equal representation.
Yet on the ground the people are not tolerant and what is leading to is bloodshed , hatred and animosity especially in a time when economic instability and political turmoil are at maximum.
This people (elite) know that such false peace and tolerance will lead to bloodshed hence depopulation their goal.
Keep your eyes peeled for as long as you are living in a country that is in the United Nations , these incidents of peace talks and war forks amongst religions and races and economic classes are spiralling into World War 3.
Christians Accused of Trying to Turn Malaysia Into Christian State
Allegations that church leaders are plotting to make Christianity the official religion in Malaysia are stoking religious tensions in the Muslim-majority country once again.
The accusation was made on two blogs which were then quoted in a front page story in Utusan Malaysia, a Malaysian daily owned by the ruling party.
The newspaper claimed that Christian leaders had dinner with Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and discussed making Christianity Malaysia’s official religion.
Lim denied the claims and his party, the Malaysian Democratic Action Party, has lodged a complaint against the newspaper with the police.
“We have never asked for Malaysia to become a Christian, Hindu or Buddhist state,” he said.
The dinner was organized by the National Evangelical Christian Fellowship, Global Day of Prayer, Marketplace Penang and the Penang Pastors Fellowship.
Organizers insist that the only issues discussed at the dinner related to corruption and bribery in the marketplace and had nothing to do with Christianity’s position in Malaysia.
“The Christian community in Penang is disturbed by the unwarranted and unsupported claims,” they said, according to The Star newspaper.
A police investigation into the claims is ongoing. Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said the investigation would focus on clarifying whether there was any truth in the newspaper’s report and whether the newspaper “had a role in playing up the sensitive issue.”
Relations remain volatile between Malaysia’s majority Muslim population and Christians, who make up only 10 percent of the population.
When the controversy broke out over the weekend, Hussein reacted by saying that the status of Islam as the official religion was “sacrosanct and can never and must never be questioned.”
Speaking to Vatican Radio, the editor of Catholic weekly Herald, Father Lawrence Andrew, suggested it was “not prudent” of the home minister to insist on taking action.
He told the radio that the allegations against the Christians are absurd and that the government is simply trying to stir up controversy in order to revive Muslim support.
“They are beginning to feel they are losing the popularity that they once enjoyed,” he said. “Because they are losing the popularity, they would enjoy some uneasiness that would create confusion – that would create fear – in the people.”
